Because of a recent conversation with someone who claims to be with Anonymous, I am writing this article to answer his questions.

In 2008, for some strange reason, someone decided to impersonate a blog I used to write on

The impersonator accomplished this stunt through the creative changes in headings where my blogs were written and then republishing them under a slightly altered name. The purpose for this deception was to misdirect subscribers from my streams where I had links set up to the impersonator blogs.

The first example of this is with a blog I had intended to use as part of an “entertainment” format. It was intended to be more of an easygoing fun blog rather than the one I had been using to expose my stalkers since I was not able to cover missing child cases as was my original intent.

This is my REAL blog URL :

This is the FAKE blog URL:

It is easy to see how the fakers accomplished this simple task. A different URL header is all that was needed to make a blog with the exact name as my main website:

The blog creator also inserted a hyphen in a lame attempt to hide the fact that they were falsifying a url of my domain with the intent to deceive anyone who visited the impersonator blog site.

Now, a rather curious thing happened. There were videos made where it is claimed that I am falsely claiming that I have the copyright to each of the blogs and websites.

Now this brings up something interesting that shows up on the impersonator blog

In the header appears the letters “TM”It is also important that the person who created that video is also part of the impersonator blog staff.

TM does not mean COPYRIGHT which is denoted by A symbol name combation such as this :

TM stands for TRADEMARK. What is a trademark?

trademark is a word, phrase, symbol, and/or design that identifies and distinguishes the source of the goods of one party from those of others.  A service mark is a word, phrase, symbol, and/or design that identifies and distinguishes the source of a service rather than goods. The term “trademark” is often used to refer to both trademarks and service marks.

This means that a trademark is used for COMMERCIAL PURPOSES when SELLING GOODS OR SERVICES, it is NOT intended to claim that an author owns the content of a blog.

That is the purpose of a COPYRIGHT.

So the question is, what is the legal term for what the person did by creating an altered url?

The term is “theft of intellectual property.”

Intellectual property law
Primary rights
Sui generis rights

The reason the impersonator blogs exist in spite of my years long efforts to get them removed is laziness on the part of and the legal maze one has to go through to get them to wake up and take these things down.

It boils down to MONEY. Blogger makes money off of the impersonator blogs through various means and to take a blog down takes away from that cash cow.

The cyber bullies know this and that is the reason these blogs keep getting created.

Now as for some of the content that winds up on the impersonator blogs. Some of the content is created by making yet another blog and putting whatever content you can into it. As long as you do not show the URL in the screen shots or copy and paste the REAL url into the screen shots in place of the fake url, the reader will be unable to see the difference.

It is therefore incumbent upon anyone reading ANY blog to pay close attention to the minute details concerning that blog and it’s content. Sometimes it is easy to detect the fraud and sometimes it is not.

Govern yourselves accordingly.
