hong kongIt has come out in a blog supporting Sandra Goddard stating that she predicts she will prevail in the defamation lawsuit against her. I would have been surprised if she said differently.

But is it a victory, or the catalyst for one hell of a blog war. There are two reasons for this.

madThe first one is obvious. It will be far more difficult for anyone to file a defamation lawsuit since the process will now be far more expensive, and time consuming. Also, identifying potential defendants will be next to impossible if the first amendment arguments are the basis for Goddard’s victory.

This same difficulty would apply to Goddard as well as the victim of the gang rape as they will now be faced with the same barriers of information.

oshThe second reason is that there are a large number of people who have issues with a number of bloggers and their followers who are even now planning on going off shore, using the methods of Alexandra Goddard as an instruction manual to do so and avoid such nuisances as complaints to Worpress or Blogspot as well as any prospective host as they are choosing countries who will NOT honor USA based requests for ip address and other information.

It is only a matter of time. 2013 is shaping up to be one hell of a year.
